March Madness

March Madness takes on a whole new meaning around the Jenkins' household! It signals the beginning of sports season....at any given time, my suburban is on the road, filled to the brim with bat bags, tennis racquets, extra socks & running shoes, a cooler full of powerades, and camp chairs!
Jessi is on the tennis team at school, which means either a match or practice after school most days of the week. Jaimee is on the Track & Field Team this year (practice immediately after school)...she runs, and she runs, and she runs...and Yes, she's fast! Joseph's baseball team is practicing several days a week, although I have a love/hate relationship with the time of practice...7:30pm! I love that I have just enough time to pick Jessi up at 5:30 from tennis, go home, throw supper on the table (literally, that's how it is some days!), and then head back to Waynesboro for baseball. The "hate" is in the fact that it's usually 9:15pm before we get home, and then he has to take a shower before bed! In case you don't know, we do not live in Waynesboro, so it's about a 20-25 min. drive to all these sports activities. Honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way...I love that my kids are active, instead of staring at the T.V. or video games, I love how they are learning how to work as a team, and, being the sports enthusiast that I am, they are pretty entertaining to watch as well!

  1. Welcome to the blogosphere! I LOVE following friends' blogs. I know what you mean about burning up the roads. I live out in the sticks too and I feel like my car knows the way between Louisville and Waynesboro without me having to steer it.
